Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be one of the most outstanding gymnasts. In the 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in a single Games and she was the first gymnast in history to win three consecutive World All-around championships (2013-15). Biles as well as her twins Adria Biles and Ronald Biles were taken in as infants by their grandparents from Houston. Simone was interested in the sport of gymnastics as a young girl during a day-care field trip to Bannon's Gymnastix and she remained there for 11 years, under supervision of coach Aimee Boorman. Biles was awarded a gold medal in the floor and bronze in vault during the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the top level of gymnastics in the year the year 2011. A year later, Biles dominated the sport. Biles's consistency, her exuberant nature and high degree of effort during her four events- vault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise as well as floor exercise -- made her out from the rest of the athletes.
