LeBron Raymone James Sr. Born 30 December 1984 - is an professional American basketball star. King James is widely regarded as one of the best basketball players and is frequently compared with Michael Jordan when discussing the most famous basketball player. James has been the recipient of four NBA Championships and Four NBA MVP Awards as well as the four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He has also won two Olympic gold medals. James has scored the most points in the playoffs and has the second highest number of career points and is the seventh player with the most assists in his career. He has been selected an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times and for the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. The ten NBA Finals is the most ever before, with eight of them consecutively between the years 2011-2018. In 2018 he was also selected to join the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. James was selected to be a member of the NBA75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became the first NBA player in history to earn more than 10,000 career points. James played basketball with St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he lived his entire life. National media touted James as a possible NBA star. He was a pre-profession player and picked by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall selection in the 2003 NBA draft. After being named 2004 NBA Rookie Of The Year, he quickly established himself as a premier player in the NBA receiving the NBA's MVP award both in 2009 and 2010. James was not able to secure an award in Cleveland and left the city with the status of a "free agent" in the year 2010. This decision was made in the TV special The Decision.
